Ari Allyn-Feuer, an Easttown Township resident and longtime fan of Elon Musk, is still waiting to be paid for signing the billionaire’s $100 petition, writes Kenny Cooper for WHYY.
On Oct. 17, the world’s richest man promised to pay $100 to every registered voter in Pennsylvania who signed his petition supporting the First and Second Amendments.
Even though Allyn-Feuer is a member of the Chester County Democratic Committee, he made an easy calculation.
Impressed by Musk’s “vision to make the economy clean and expand humans into outer space,” he signed the petition on the America PAC’s website before the offer expired.
However, he has not yet received the promised payment.
The PAC’s website stated that all payments should be issued on or before Nov. 30. But if the money never arrives, it is uncertain if Allyn-Feuer and others can get their money.
If the contract Allyn-Feuer signed as part of the petition was legal, Musk owes him $100, said Claire Finkelstein, professor of law and philosophy at University of Pennsylvania.
“He could go ahead and bring an action in small claims court and sue Elon Musk,” among other options, she added.
