Chester County Dominates List of Places with Most Expensive Homes in Pennsylvania

Chester County is home to ten towns that are among the places with the most expensive homes in Pennsylvania, according to Stacker.

Chester County is home to ten towns that are among the top 30 places with the most expensive homes in Pennsylvania, according to a recently released ranking by Stacker.

To compile the list, Stacker used data from Zillow. Places are ranked based on the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of July 2024.

Devon took the top spot statewide once again with a median home value of $914,441. This represents a one-year increase in value of 7.2 percent and a five-year increase of 47.6 percent.

Berwyn is in third place with a median home value of $887,504, a one-year value increase of 5.2 percent, and a five-year increase of 45.8 percent.

Malvern came in seventh place with a typical home value of $737,537. Chester Springs also made the top ten in tenth place with an average home value of $710,392.

Other towns that made the list are Glenmoore at No. 19 ($624,407), West Chester at No. 20 ($615,431), Paoli at No. 21 ($594,404), Kennett Square at No. 23 ($586,267), Avondale at No. 25 ($579,697), and Exton at No. 27 ($577,051).
