Avelo Airlines will offer even more options to local travelers with two new nonstop routes it is adding to its winter schedule at Wilmington Airport, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The low-cost carrier based in Houston will start flying biweekly to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport outside Charlotte, North Carolina, and Lakeland Linder International Airport, between Tampa and Orlando, Florida, in November.

Avelo’s first flight to Lakeland will be on Nov. 7. The route will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. Meanwhile, service to Concord will start on Nov. 8 and run on Mondays and Fridays.

Introductory roundtrip fares start at $46 for Concord and $67 for Lakeland.

The new routes at Wilmington Airport are among 18 new additions the carrier unveiled earlier this week in the largest route announcement in its three-year history. CEO Andrew Levy indicated he is optimistic about the momentum and growth of the company as it adds even more airplanes and destinations to its portfolio.

“And with three consecutive profitable quarters, Avelo is positively positioned for even more growth in the future across our network,” said Levy.
