Partners in Outreach Receives $26k Check from Rafferty Subaru’s Share the Love Event
Partners in Outreach (PIO), a Chester County-based, volunteer-driven organization that connects local volunteers and supplies with organizations needed resources, was presented with its largest donation yet — a $26,956 check from Rafferty Subaru’s Share the Love Event.
The Subaru Share the Love Event is a philanthropic initiative in which local Subaru dealerships raise and donate money to local charity organizations. Rafferty Subaru, located in Newtown Square, has given $806,224 over the years. This past winter, Rafferty donated over 200 coats, which were paired with hand-knitted hats and distributed through Partners in Outreach.
Rafferty Subaru’s contribution to Partners in Outreach furthers the nonprofit’s efforts to organize and execute the following programs throughout the year:
- Operation Easter Basket
- Operation Easter Outfit
- Classroom Reading Partners
- REAL Tutoring
- Summer Camp Partners
These programs focus on literacy, extracurricular activities, and religious and cultural celebrations and equip
the children of Chester County with books, bathing suits, beach towels, and many other items they need to have meaningful experiences with their peers.
Without Rafferty Subaru’s generous partnership over the years, many more children would not be able to experience summer camp
or would be further from closing the literacy gap.
Summer Camp Partners is the next program being organized by Partners in Outreach. To learn more or to join the volunteer effort, visit Partners in Outreach. Partners in Outreach improves the lives of children residing in Chester County and its surroundings by closing literacy gaps, supporting summer camp participation, and enhancing holiday and cultural expression.
