On Wednesday, Apr. 24, Habitat for Humanity of Chester County honored Christopher J. Pippett, who completed his 100th home closing — all at no cost — for the nonprofit.

For more than two decades, Pippett has helped families realize their dream of homeownership by overseeing the legal closing services of their home settlements.

In honor of Pippett’s milestone 100th home settlement, Habitat for Humanity surprised him with a celebration alongside his family, friends, and colleagues at Fox Rothschild’s Exton office.

“Chris has been a dedicated leader for Habitat for over 20 years,” said Chris Wiseman, Executive Director of Habitat of Chester County. “He has helped countless families, not only through these settlements but as a driving force behind the growth of our program as a whole. He not only has the wisdom but also the heart and vision to lead us all to be better and serve our community. It was a pleasure to celebrate this momentous occasion with Chris, his family, and the Fox Rothschild team.”

Pippett, Co-Chair of the Financial Services Industry Practice at Fox Rothschild, has been a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for 22 years, including 12 years on the organization’s board of directors. He was a board member from 2004 to 2010, serving as Board President in his final two years. During that time, Pippett guided the Chester County chapter of Habitat for Humanity toward the acquisition of two major properties: the 46-home Cambria development in Coatesville and the 40-home Fuller Meadows neighborhood in West Grove.

Pippett rejoined Habitat’s board in 2017, providing his legal knowledge and historical perspective, with a continual focus on creating more opportunities for affordable homeownership in Chester County. He stepped off the board at the end of his term in 2023 but continues to be an active volunteer and donor to the organization.

“It has truly been a labor of love,” said Pippett. “Once I found out about Habitat, their mission, and the impact they have in breaking the cycle of poverty, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. It’s a fantastic program that allows volunteers from all walks of life to work together and positively impact the community. I can’t encourage folks enough to get involved.”
