Today marks National Make A Difference Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the vital role that community service plays in improving our communities and inspiring individuals and groups to take action.

Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, a local nonprofit organization committed to building and renovating affordable housing, recognizes the profound impact of volunteerism. Volunteers have been the cornerstone of the mission, contributing their time, skills, and passion to make a real difference in the lives of community members. From serving on the board to working at construction sites and our ReStores, volunteers provide invaluable support.

Volunteering at Habitat for Humanity goes beyond swinging a hammer; they offer diverse opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of their volunteers, more than 175 Chester County families have achieved their dreams of safe, affordable homeownership.

In the current year alone, 321 volunteers and homeowners have collectively devoted an impressive 11,341 hours to our cause. These donated hours have translated into over $280,000 in labor savings for Habitat for Humanity. Habitat thanks everyone who chooses to make a difference, not just on this special day, but every day.
