Adam McKay, a Malvern native who attended Great Valley High School, is set to start a new project called Flesh of the Gods, writes Chris Compendio for PhillyVoice.

Flesh of the Gods will be a 1980s vampire thriller starring Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac. Hot off his three Oscar-nominated films, McKay is one of the producers next to director Panos Cosmatos and screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker.

The film takes place in Los Angeles with Stewart and Isaac playing a couple who each night head into the wild, hypnotizing nightlife. They encounter a captivating leader of a hard-partying group and soon fall into a world beyond their dreams and nightmares.

This director, this writer, these incredible actors, vampires, choice 80’s punk, style and attitude for miles… that’s the film we’re bringing you today,” said McKay in a Deadline article. “We think it’s wildly commercial and wildly artful. Our ambitions are to make a movie that ripples through popular culture, fashion, music, and film. Can you tell how excited I am?”

The film will begin shooting later this year and appear at the Cannes Film Market.
