Celebrate Spring at The Festival of the Peony in Chadds Ford, Open Until May 27

Peonies bloom for a short window of time every spring; celebrate nature’s bloom at the Festival of the Peony in Chadds Ford.

Styer’s Peonies is one of the country’s oldest peony farms, celebrating 134 years in business in Chester County this year, writes Natalie Jackson for 6ABC.

Peonies only bloom for about 7-10 days every spring and this small window of opportunity is highlighted at the annual Styer’s Festival of the Peony, where the farm is open to the public for just two weeks.

“The Festival of the Peony is a celebration of the peony bloom here in Brandywine Valley,” said Bruce Mowday, Jr., Executive Assistant of Styer’s Peonies. The family-owned farm is a large supplier of peonies throughout local florist shops.

Now for the 6th annual festival, attendees can purchase premium cut flowers directly from the farm, walk or drive through the fields, and simply enjoy this beautiful piece of nature.

The Festival of the Peony will run until May 27. Tickets are $15 a person at the gate or preordered. They also offer a family option, which is $30 per car.

Other items for sale at the festival include hand-made peony linens, peony soap, and more. This year, the festival will feature a food truck onsite, Thursday through Sunday, and dry rose wine from Chaddsford Winery
