New West Chester Restaurant Opens, with Rooftop Section Coming Soon
Ryan and Lisa Diehl, founders of Hatfield brewery Imprint Beer, debuted Serum Kitchen and Taphouse in downtown West Chester last month, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
A rooftop section of the two-story restaurant is expected to open later this spring.
The space the restaurant occupies was previously home to The Note, a live music venue that closed in early 2014. The former stage has now been turned into an open-concept kitchen for the new establishment.
Serum Kitchen and Taphouse can seat 210 people across its indoor seating – including a chef’s table – and the second-floor outdoor patio.
The restaurant serves American cuisine, with highlights like the warm baby kale salad and beer and honey chicken. A selection of craft beers from Imprint Beer is also available, along with cocktails that are specifically designed to pair with various dishes.
According to the owners, Serum Kitchen and Taphouse aims to be a destination for good food, drink, and atmosphere.
“We’ve poured our hearts into making Serum a place where every visit is memorable,” said the duo.
The restaurant is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
