Community Flag Football Charitable Game April 27 features West Chester East players and fans

The first annual West Chester Score for Safe Harbor, a community flag football fundraiser, is set for Saturday, April 27, from 12-4 benefitting Safe Harbor of Chester County.

The game will take place Noon to 4 PM at the West Chester East High School football field, 450 Ellis Lane, in West Chester.

The community event is presented by West Chester East High School quarterback Nathan DeRosa and Linebacker Owen Lyons, fierce high school competitors and National Honor Society scholars!

The community is invited to come out for a day of fun, football, and fundraising.

Competitive and recreational teams of all skill levels and ages are welcome to participate.

All teams and players have the option to donate any amount to play. All donations will go directly to Safe Harbor of Chester County, a nonprofit homeless shelter in West Chester.

Individuals can join a team as a player and have fun on the field with a chance to win prizes. 

You can also attend as a spectator, cheering on your favorite teams as you enjoy the festivities.

There is also an opportunity to volunteer to help with event logistics. 

There will be a Kids Play Zone with fun activities for children, a raffle with some amazing prizes that goes toward supporting Safe Harbor, and T-shirts that you can pre-order along with event merchandise to show your support. 

There are also opportunities to donate to Safe Harbor’s new community garden initiative by donating items on the nonprofit’s Amazon wish list.

Businesses and individuals are also invited to sponsor the event. Sponsors can contribute financially or provide in-kind support.

Safe Harbor of Chester County is a non-profit charitable organization located in the heart of West Chester. It has been serving men and women experiencing homelessness since 1995.

Its mission is to provide safe and enriching shelter, nutritious meals, access to resources, and supportive services for single men and women experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Chester County.
