A new selfie wall was unveiled Friday in West Chester, and each selfie goes toward a great cause.

Benchmark Federal Credit Union, the only federal credit union to exclusively serve Chester County, is donating 25 cents to Safe Harbor of Chester County for each selfie wall photo posted to social media that tags @BenchmarkFCU and includes the hashtag #ForLifesBenchmarks.

West Chester Mayor Lillian DeBaptiste and State Rep. Dianne Herrin joined Safe Harbor and Benchmark Federal Credit Union at a ribbon-cutting to unveil the selfie wall, which displays three pairs of wings to symbolize Safe Harbor’s supportive mission to provide emergency housing, food, and access to services for neighbors in need.

Benchmark and Safe Harbor commissioned artist Stefanie Birl of Birl Girl Designs to create the wall.

In addition to Safe Harbor of Chester County, Benchmark Federal Credit Union supports more than 20 community events and organizations in Chester County each year, including Chester County Futures, the Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference, and the Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County. Benchmark FCU was honored with the 2021 Corporate Partner Award by The Arc of Chester County and named the 2020 Business of the Year by the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce.
