Chester Springs and Pottstown native Skye O’Leary is the Commercial Loan Settlement Officer at Mid Penn Bank, ensuring the entire Settlement process is done properly, accurately, and efficiently.

“I coordinate with attorneys, lenders, borrowers, title companies, and other relevant parties to ensure all necessary documentation is in order and that funds are transferred accurately and on time,” said O’Leary. “Essentially, I serve as the bridge between all parties involved, guaranteeing that the Settlement process is executed flawlessly and complies with all regulatory requirements. I am grateful that my position allows me the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals. Each interaction presents an opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals, exchange ideas, and broaden my understanding of the financial landscape. I am so thankful and proud to work at Mid Penn Bank, an institution that truly cares about its people, customers, and community.”

O’Leary, whose first job at the age of 15 was at Ludwig’s Village Market & Catering in Glenmoore, stated that she worked there after school and on the weekends from her sophomore until senior year of high school. She attended high school at Owen J. Roberts High School and graduated in 2014. From there, she went to Penn State for college and graduated with a B.A. in Communications Arts and Sciences in 2019. O’Leary is currently in the process of becoming a notary.

Apart from her family, O’Leary credits mentors, including Cortney Weyant and Cindy Jacobsen from Mid Penn Bank, as having a profound impact on her career.

“Cortney and Cindy welcomed me to the bank with open arms in 2023 and have been there to help and support me each step of the way,” she said. “They have provided invaluable insight, guidance, and knowledge that has helped to shape my professional growth and development. I am extremely grateful for their support, time, patience, and advice. I thank them both for believing in me!”

With encouragement and support backing her along her professional journey, O’Leary stated that one of her proudest professional moments was being awarded the Top Funder of the Year in 2021 by her previous employer, BHG Financial. This award is given out once a year to the department’s top performer.

“My department consisted of about 50 extremely hard-working individuals, which made it even more of an honor to not only be chosen but to be awarded within my first year at this company,” she said.

O’Leary’s favorite restaurants in Chester County are Elegance Café in Paoli for lunch and Nectar in Berwyn for dinner.

O’Leary and the rest of the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 9 at Penn State Great Valley.
