West Chester native Christopher Muth is a Real Estate Investment Analyst at GMH Communities, where he is a part of the Real Estate Investment – Acquisition Team.

“Our team is responsible for evaluating opportunities to purchase assets in the student housing and conventional apartment spaces,” said Muth. “What I enjoy most in the position is the process of taking a deal from the evaluation stage and getting it to closing.”

Muth flexed his entrepreneurial muscles as a child, starting a small business that printed return address labels for people’s Christmas cards when he was in third grade.

“As I got a bit older, I would design and print business cards for individuals as well,” said Muth. “I worked on this until I was about 13 years old, and it was my first introduction to entrepreneurship.”

Muth attended Devon Preparatory School for middle and high school and is currently finishing his college studies at Drexel University (June 2024). He will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in business administration in real estate development and a Bachelor of Arts in entrepreneurship.

Over the course of his career, Muth credits his mentor and friend, Ellen Fisher, with impacting his development.

“Ellen is the ultimate networker and connector and has been a huge influence on my professional development, emphasizing meaningful networking and connecting with people,” he said.

Muth recalls his proudest professional accomplishment at the company he previously founded and operated, Rex Riccardi.

“Rex Riccardi designed and sold pocket squares, and 10 percent of each pocket square sold was donated to benefit childhood cancer research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,” he said. “I was also fortunate enough to be a guest speaker at several Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation events, speaking to donors about the importance of their donations. Although I no longer operate Rex Riccardi, being able to support the CHOP Foundation financially and through speaking to donors is my proudest professional accomplishment.”

Muth’s favorite Chester County restaurant is Penn’s Table, which he says is a great spot for breakfast and lunch.

Muth and the rest of the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 9 at Penn State Great Valley, Malvern.
