By

Michelle Barone, a native of Ambler in Montgomery County, is an Assistant Solicitor in the Chester County Solicitor’s Office.

Barone, who started working when she was 14 years old as a barista at a coffee shop in her hometown, earned a bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature from Temple University and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law. She credits a number of people with having the biggest impact on her career.

“Over the years, there have been so many people — professors, prosecutors, judges, and public defenders — who have impacted my career and dedication to public service,” said Barone. “I feel fortunate to have had so many incredible mentors who have trusted me and influenced me to be an effective advocate without sacrificing honesty, humility, and integrity.”

Barone’s proudest professional achievements occurred during her tenure in the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, where she spent seven years.

“My time at the D.A.’s office was full of proud moments,” she said. “I feel grateful to have had the opportunity and ability to serve the community as a prosecutor for so many years.”

Barone’s favorite Chester County restaurant is Roots Café in West Chester.
