Catherine "Cat" Bianco, Managing Director at Tactix Real Estate Advisors, joins the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars.

West Norriton native Catherine “Cat” Bianco is the Managing Director at Tactix Real Estate Advisors, where she has the opportunity to help businesses solve problems, design and execute strategy, and navigate conversations surrounding their real estate.

“This is usually an area where most companies don’t have a designated real estate professional, so providing insight into creating a comprehensive solution can make a significant difference for them,” said Bianco. “My firm also utilizes a tenant-rep-only platform that allows us to be true advocates for our clients, conflict-free and without bias.”

Bianco was 12 when she started her first job, serving as a swim instructor and teaching swimming lessons at the indoor pool at Norristown Area High School. Bianco also attended high school within the Norristown Area School District, and following graduation, she attended West Chester University, earning her Bachelor of Arts in music education.

“While getting my degree, I realized that though I loved being immersed in music, being a music teacher was not necessarily where I wanted to see my career,” said Bianco. “After college, I refocused my attention on commercial real estate and started my first job out of college at Liberty Property Trust. While there, I obtained my PA Real Estate License and earned my MBA from Drexel’s LeBow College of Business.

Bianco credits Bruce Hartlein (her former supervisor and colleague at Liberty Property Trust) as being an impactful mentor for a large portion of her early career.

“He provided me the opportunity to challenge myself, expand my skills, and take my career as far as I wanted,” said Bianco. “There was no limit to what he allowed me to take part in, and having someone there to support me and show me what was possible was invaluable.”

Reflecting on her career thus far, Bianco states that her proudest achievement is that she pivoted her career to what she’s doing today: commercial brokerage.

“I had a very comfortable job overseeing a large portfolio of assets, and it took a lot of courage and belief in myself to go out on my own, in what has been a traditionally male-dominated field, and work in the brokerage community,” said Bianco. “By making this switch, I knew that I could challenge myself in new ways and allow myself to grow and further my skills and connections.”

Bianco’s favorite places in Chester County to get a cocktail or dinner include Bluebird Distillery, Avlos, and Vecchia Nuova.

Bianco and the rest of the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 9 at Penn State Great Valley, Malvern.
