Longwood Gardens’ Spring Blooms display — a spring celebration filled with vibrant hues, iconic blooms, and captivating scents — will start on March 30, according to a staff report from The Daily Local News.

Through May 5, visitors will be able to enjoy over 150,000 tulips and other seasonal bulbs at their peak bloom along the attraction’s historic 600-foot-long Flower Garden Walk.

The Spring Blooms display also encompasses the flowering magnolias, cherry trees, and dogwoods.

The redesigned Idea Garden will also reopen this season.

The refreshed layout in the Ornamental Kitchen Garden now offers more accessible pathways, extra seating, and recently added new display areas. The expanded garden is expected to mature throughout the summer months and support the growth and production of over 200 fruit and vegetable crops each year.

“Kitchen gardens have a unique ability to connect guests of all ages with plants and cultivated spaces,” said Longwood’s Associate Director of Landscape Architecture and Program Design Erin Feeney. “Their intriguingly patterned rows entice exploration; their structures showcase craft of the human hand; and their beautiful and unusual cultivars of familiar crops sustain us and display the variety of the natural world.”
