Hannah Medvic, a native of Warminster, is the Head of Marketing and Communications at Bender Inc., where she is responsible for marketing efforts in North and South America.

“I work with various teams and departments within Bender Inc., driving leads to our sales team through ads and our website,” she said. “Because Bender manufactures niche, technical products, it can be challenging to market to our many target personas adequately. I enjoy pairing psychology with our advertising, aligning it all with the marketing funnel. It’s important to understand the pain points our customers have and target them at all stages of the funnel.”

She is also especially happy to be involved in boosting employee morale. One program she helped initiate involves playing games virtually once a month together.

“All employees, both remote and in-person, can join, which lets us get to know each other better,” she said. “New and remote employees have especially appreciated this meeting since it helps them feel more connected.”

Medvic was homeschooled, which gave her the opportunity to start BCCC at age 14. She graduated with an associate’s degree before getting her high school diploma and then continued her education at Arcadia University, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Music Minor. The next step in her education was at Villanova, where she earned an MBA with specializations in marketing, strategic management, and data analytics.

In her current career, she credits Steve Mason, who recently left Bender and was the former CEO, with challenging her and helping her grow, and Dave Knecht, former VP of Sales and new CEO of Bender Inc.

“Dave Knecht has given my team the knowledge and support we need to succeed as a marketing team,” she said. “Because of his support, both the marketing efforts at Bender Inc. and within the Bender Group as a whole have given us a leg up over our competitors. Since our marketing team understands the voice of the customer, we are able to advertise in a way the customer responds to.”

Medvic recalls her proudest professional moment as shaping Bender’s marketing department.

“I was hired as the Marketing Team Lead with two reports,” she said. “At the time, there was no global unity between the marketing departments worldwide; the relationship between sales and marketing was poor, and individuals had been working in silos. The first thing to improve was relationships through regular meetings and complete transparency. A marketing strategy was designed that aligned sales, marketing, and product managers like never before. My team increased leads ten-fold, web traffic went up substantially, and every year since we have exceeded the previous year’s revenue goal.”

Medvic’s favorite Chester County restaurant is BlueFin Eagleview in Exton.

Medvic and the rest of the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 9 at Penn State Great Valley.
