Chadds Ford is one of the most quaint small towns in the Mid-Atlantic, according to a recently released list by World Atlas

With 3,900 inhabitants, Chadds Ford has an artistic legacy that beats most Mid-Atlantic cities. The town is home to the Brandywine River Museum of Art, dedicated to regional and American works.

It is the hometown of artist and illustrator N.C. Wyeth and his son, painter Andrew Wyeth. The latter artist founded the Christian C. Sanderson Museum in 1967.

History aficionados should visit the Battle of Brandywine site, where a Revolutionary War battle took place. Meanwhile, those looking for some fresh air should visit Longwood Gardens nearby in Kennett Square. And for a taste of local vintages, Chaddsford Winery is the place to go.
