Phoenixville Man Reunites with Parents’ Wedding Rings After Believing Them Lost for Over Decade
Gary Guadagno, a Phoenixville resident, was reunited with his late parents’ wedding rings after more than a decade of thinking they were lost for good, writes Kimberlee Speakman for People.
After his mother died in 2012, Guadagno had searched his entire Berks County childhood home looking for the rings, but he was unable to locate them.
“I combed through everything and I just assumed they were lost forever,” he said.
The rings had been with his mother and father since they got married in 1947.
However recently, he received a Facebook message from the home’s new owners, Josh Martin and Hannah Keusher that let him know the rings had been in the house all this time after all.
“It was a Facebook messenger from a stranger and I read it, and I was in shock,” he said.
The rings were found tucked away behind a light fixture in the kitchen.
The couple and their children drove to Phoenixville to return the missing rings to Guadagno.
“I’ve wondered so many times about these rings,” said Guadagno. “[Martin and Keusher] were kind enough to realize they were of sentimental value [to someone].”
