Timothy's might be demolished if plans for a news Wawa get approved.

Plans for a new Wawa at Parkway Shopping Center in West Goshen stalled after a vote to recommend conditional use to the board of supervisors regarding its construction was tabled by the planning commission earlier this week, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News.

The planning commission also asked for a traffic review to be performed by the township traffic engineer.

If the preliminary plans get approved by the township, Timothy’s restaurant might be razed to create space for a 5,330-square-foot Wawa. The new store would replace the historic Wawa that stands just north of the shopping center on High Street.

According to a Wawa representative, it could take between two-and-a-half and three years to open the new location.

The restaurant will stay open until the township approves the plans and it is time to demolish the building.

“If I were to guess at a timeline, assuming Wawa gets their approvals, my guess would be summer of 2024,” said Timothy’s owner Timothy Dever.

The restaurant would only be closed for a short while before moving to a new space at the end-cap of the Parkway Center next to the Wawa Retail store.
