A new Wawa is set to take the place of Timothy's in the Parkway Shopping Center.

A new Wawa is coming to the Parkway Shopping Center in West Goshen to replace the existing but smaller store, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News

The new store will be significantly bigger — it will occupy over half of Parkway Shopping Center including the current site of Timothy’s — and have 16 gasoline pumps. It will offer more room for everybody, from patrons and vendors to delivery people and associates.

A Wawa representative noted during the March 21 Board of Supervisors meeting that the “function and needs of a convenience store have changed over time.” She explained that, for example, bathrooms in the new stores are larger.

Another spokesperson noted that the old store’s parking is hazardous. The legacy store, known as store number 25, opened in 1968.

So to create enough room for the new Wawa, 28,727 square feet of the existing 49,260-square-foot shopping center will be demolished.

Wawa has been in the process of replacing many of its original markets with larger and more user-friendly convenience stores that feature gas pumps.
