The Phoenixville Farmers' Market has various goodies and locally-grown produce to check out every Saturday.

The Phoenixville Farmers’ Market is a place where you can get fresh, locally grown produce and various homemade goods while enjoying a social atmosphere and chatting it up with other shoppers, writes Courtney H. Diener-Stokes for County Lines Magazine.

There are over two dozen vendors available daily, including Hickory Grove Gardens, Wild Fox Provisions, and Sweet Water Baking Company.

“I grew up in town and love the market here and saw it bring the town together,” said Max Kulp, who serves as the market’s day-of manager every other week.

The market was founded two decades ago by Liz and Bill Anderson, who wanted to help revitalize the downtown.

Many vendors have been with the market for years, such as Cucina Verde, owned by Annmarie Cantrell of Birdsboro. Others are being added regularly, with Fungified Farm, owned by Alethea Kidd of Telford, being one of them.

The vendors can easily recognize many of the shoppers who have been visiting the market for years, along with encountering new faces of those who are just discovering it for the first time.
