These farmers markets in Chester County are the perfect place to get your hands on locally grown produce, fresh meat and cheeses along with unique home goods while – in many cases – enjoying some live music, writes Claire Chmiel for Main Line Today. 

Luckily, there are plenty of farmers markets on the Main Line that offer fresh goods provided by high-quality vendors, including three in the area. 

The Downingtown Farmers Market has a great variety of vendors to visit who offer everything from authentic Mexican food to organic olive oils to gluten-free baked goods. It is open every Saturday from May to September. 

East Goshen Farmers Market in West Chester’s mission is providing good food made by neighbors, for neighbors. It offers locally grown produce along with handcrafted products every Thursday from May through October. The market also hosts a food truck and craft vendors day on the first Thursday of each month. 

Lancaster County Farmers Market in Wayne remains a Main Line mainstay for more than eight decades. It features an array of vendors ranging from meats and cheeses to flowers and home goods. It is open every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
