Jason Wingard, a renowned educator, businessman, and author, was recently inducted into the Henderson Hall of Fame, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News.

“I’m really proud of West Chester and Henderson High School,” he said. “It was an honor and a privilege to be selected as the 13th inductee to the Hall of Fame.”

The 51-year-old Wingard is a Class of 1991 Henderson High graduate. During his time at the school, he was both a star in the classroom as well as on the athletic field as a three-sport athlete.

He comes from a family of educators. His father, Levi, served as superintendent of Downingtown Area School District.

“I was taught to have a thirst for knowledge and to continuously seek out new information,” said Wingard.

Over the years, he has studied and worked in Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and the Ivy League. Currently, he is teaching at Harvard University.

“My leadership philosophy is rooted in continuous learning and fearless growth,” he said. “I am a staunch advocate for re-skilling, re-tooling, and re-calibrating approaches to work that maintain alignment with the changing times.”
