After having their first wedding in a hospital, Kathryn and Stephanie Hilton decided to renew their vows in a gorgeous ceremony at the Flourtown Country Club. Kellie Patrick Gates described the couple’s second declaration of everlasting unity in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The pair started as friends, but they knew by the second time they met they would be more than that. When the pandemic hit, both worked remotely for the most part. Often, they labored from the same location — one of their apartments.

“It was a scary time, but also a sweet time for us,” said Stephanie.

They got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2021 and started planning their wedding.

Kathryn, however, was soon diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and she had to spend time in a hospital. Not wanting to wait, the women decided to get married right there.

Once Stephanie was released to continue recovery at home, they decided they deserved another, proper wedding.

On Feb. 18, the couple joined their friends and family members at Flourtown Country Club for another ceremony. They walked each other down the aisle with bouquets and arrangements from the hydrangeas they had wanted.

After the ceremony, the couple spent a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Cancun, Mexico.
