CCRES instructional assistant Brenda Blittersdorf has been working for CCRES for eight years at Bancroft Elementary School in the Kennett Consolidated School District in Chester County.

The principal at Bancroft Elementary said Blittersdorf “is willing to help in any area and often will just step in and do whatever is necessary to get the job done!”

She volunteers on the Schoolwide Positive Behavior Committee, offering insight into student behaviors from an instructional assistant perspective.

“She keeps an eye on behaviors, especially at recess and lunch, and makes recommendations for lessons and reminders for the students,” Principal Leah McComsey said.

Blittersdorf enjoys working with children and has worked with all ages, from birth to 5th grade, since she graduated college.

“I have two obsessions–Phillies and Mickey Mouse,” she said, and enjoys going to both Phillies games and Disney World.

Blittersdorf has been married to her high school sweetheart for 24 years, and they’ve been together for 31 years. She has two “beautiful” children. Her 22-year-old son is attending Shenandoah University. Her 19-year-old daughter is a student at Appalachian State University.

You’ll find Brenda Blittersdorf exercising in her spare time, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family and her dog, Dexter.

CCRES is a non-profit human resources organization that partners with intermediate units, school districts, and behavioral health programs to provide support staff working with children and adults with special needs.
