West Chester’s QVC Clothing Line Launches Apparel for People with Disabilities
West Chester-based QVC’s clothing line Denim & Co, embraces accessibility, writes Xanayra Marin-Lopez for RetailDive.
The private label, which launched on Aug. 4, has an array of sizes ranging from XXS to 3X. These functional clothes can be worn by people of all abilities, including wheelchair users or those recovering from surgery.
The clothes include hook and loop closures which allow people to dress themselves independently. Pants designed for wheelchair users include a reduced front rise, increased back rise, and no back pockets. It also includes functional ankle vents and waterproof pocket linings.
Customers can choose from a collection of a washable faux suede jacket, zipper cardigan, knit pants, and a skirt with zipper access in the $60 to $80 price range.
QVC also is the home channel for Accessible Living which promotes products for people in pursuit of independent living. Actress Selma Blair is also the brand’s accessibility ambassador.
