Philadelphia Boys and Philadelphia Girls Choirs Announce Spring Shows

The Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale will perform its concert — entitled “United We Stand! Celebrating the American Spirit: Music of the North and South” — at the Temple Performing Arts Center on June 10 at 3 PM.

The Philadelphia Girls Choir will then perform (at the same venue) “A Concert of Musical Gems Spanning Ten Years of Song” on June 11 at 4 PM.

The Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale has a mission of bringing the finest choral music to audiences both in the Delaware Valley and around the globe. It is known as “America’s Ambassadors of Song” and is considered one of the best boys choirs in the world. It has performed in concert venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the Kimmel Center, and Philadelphia’s Academy of Music.

Founded in 2012, the Philadelphia Girls Choir began with 18 singers and has grown to include nearly 200 girls. A highly selective music education program for girls six and older, the Philadelphia Girls Choir is designed to instill confidence and responsibility through musical achievement. Cultural diversity and personal development are essential elements of Philadelphia Girls Choir training.
