Willistown Township’s M. Night Shyamalan once again remained close to home with the filming of his latest movie, Knock at the Cabin, writes Eddie Davis for Lite 96.9 WFPG. 

The famous director filmed most of the horror thriller in the pinelands in neighboring South Jersey, not far from his 125-acre estate called Ravenwood. 

The film is an adaptation of the novel The Cabin at the End of the World, written by Paul Tremblay in 2018. 

Dave Bautista, a WWE wrestler and MCU star, is cast as a villain who uses a pitchfork axe as a weapon as he terrorizes a young family vacationing in a remote cabin in the woods. 

The principal photography for the movie took place in Burlington County, New Jersey, with Shyamalan opting to use 1990s lenses “to get the old school thriller look,” he wrote on Twitter. 

Meanwhile, the cabin was a movie prop that was temporarily set up for the shooting. 

The movie will premiere in theaters on Friday, Feb. 3.
