Chester County businesses are being recognized for their efforts to serve the community and philanthropic partnerships by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Lisa Dukart details their efforts.

Among the 30 selected businesses, are West Whiteland-based Acme and Exton’s West Pharmaceuticals.

Acme’s partnership with Bringing Hope Home supports local families impacted by cancer. When customers purchase HOPE cards at the register, they raise money to support those families.

Over in Exton, West Pharmaceutical Services partners with Community Volunteers in Medicine. This West Chester nonprofit provides medical, dental, behavioral, and other social services.

The business-nonprofit partnerships won based on public nominations. Philadelphia Business Journal’s Editorial Board selected the winners.

There will be a celebration for the selected partnerships on April 13 and will also be featured in a special edition April 14.
