The Main Line region offers many ways to ring in the New Year, including several great options that are available right here in Chester County, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today

Midnight in the Square is a Kennett Square tradition that includes the famous lighted mushroom. The tenth iteration of the celebration will include live entertainment, a food truck, and a local version of the Times Square ball drop – a mushroom that will drop just before 9 PM. Later in the evening there will be a laser light show.

Meanwhile, another good option is the Anti New Year’s Eve Bash at Levante Brewing Co. For this event, the brewery is toning down the fancy frills and planning a low key celebration in its West Chester taproom. Locals are invited to join the festivities dressed in their favorite pajamas from 5 PM to 11 PM.

The celebration will include pizza, libations, and live music. For those who do not feel like staying up past midnight, a “champagne” cider toast will occur at 9 PM.
