West Chester-based QVC and its sister network HSN recently launched livestream video shopping experiences on The Roku Channel.

QVC and HSN are the first livestream shopping channels on the leader in free, ad-supported streaming TV that reaches U.S. households with around 80 million people.

The two shopping networks will offer The Roku Cannel’s audiences about 40 hours a day of live video commerce programming that features brands and products presented in real time by celebrities, influencers, and other personalities.

One such show is QVC’s “In the Kitchen with David,” which is watched in close to 700,000 homes per hour throughout the United States on each of its two weekly editions.

“For decades consumers have tuned into both QVC and HSN for engaging shopping experiences from the comfort of their own home,” said Ashley Hovey, Head of The Roku Channel, AVOD. “We’re thrilled to partner with QVC and HSN to bring these viewing experiences to the expansive lineup of FAST channels available on The Roku Channel.”

The launch is in line with the ongoing strategic initiative by Qurate Retail Group, the owner of QVC and HSN, to expand the reach of its original video commerce experiences across new media and digital platforms.
