Where to Cut Your Own Christmas Tree in Chester County

‘Tis the season for all who celebrate to adorn their living rooms or parlors with fir, pines, and spruces. For those who want to kick it old school by going a little DIY, there’s plenty of Christmas tree farms in Chester County that let customers cut their own trees, writes Lisa Dukart for Maine Line Today.

Clark’s Christmas Tree Farm and Christmas Shop

Tree-seekers can get their axes ready for Douglas firs and spruces on this 35-acre farm. The business also has a holiday shop with decorations, gifts and collectibles. Their website boasts of having over 100,000 gifts to choose from.

Marsh Creek Tree Farm

For the more laid-back types, this farm has pre-cut Fraser fir trees. But for those who are feeling more hands-on, there’s plenty of 15-foot firs to chop. Trees go on sale starting Nov. 25. Customers can also enjoy wagon rides and hot chocolate.

West Chester

Tricolor Tree Farm

After a weekend hayride, guests can choose from varieties of fir, spruce, pine, and hemlock. Hot chocolate is free with the purchase of a tree.

Wiggins Christmas Trees

All aboard the Christmas Tree Train! Wiggins is partnering with West Chester Rail Road to give customers a festive ride. Shoppers meet at the Market Street Station and then hop on a half hour train (served with hot chocolate, coffee and donuts) to the farm to cut their own Christmas trees, that they take back on the train with them to West Chester. The train will be running Nov. 27, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 at 8 AM only.

Yeager’s Farm & Market

This farm is there for all the holiday needs. Pre-cut trees are available, and shoppers can take a short hayride to find an evergreen to chop down themselves. The market offers freshly baked goods, apple cider, and chocolates. The farm has a variety of spruces and firs to choose from.
