The public is invited to Home of the Sparrow’s Power of the Purse Fashion Show Tuesday, Oct. 25, 5 p.m., at The Desmond Hotel on Liberty Blvd. in Malvern.

This event funds Home of the Sparrow’s programs and individualized case management to help women and children in Chester County avoid homelessness.

The fun begins at 5 pm with shopping, a silent auction, and hors d’oeuvres. This is a great way to kick off your holiday shopping with merchandise from local women-owned boutiques.

The shop owners are returning 20 percent of their proceeds from the evening to Home of the Sparrow.

Some of the participating shops are Painted Table Designs, Silver Linings, Gingy’s, and La Chic Boutique.

Rajant is the lead sponsor for the Power of the Purse fashion show.

Enjoy a 3-course meal prior to the fashion show, which begins at 7 p.m. Jayne Brown, host at QVC, is the guest Master of Ceremonies.  The show will feature models from the Home of the Sparrow family, including volunteers, board members, funders, donors, and community partners.

Finish your evening with a raffle drawing for a $2,030 Louis Vuitton bag.

Fashionista tickets are $75 and include boutique shopping, the 3-course dinner, and the fashion show.

$5,000 Chanel Diamond Forever package will support a mother and her children for 12 month.

A $2,500 Hermes Birkin Bag package will support a mother and her children for six months. 

A $1,000 Louis Vuitton Neverfull package will support a mother and her children for three months.

A $550 Prada Saffiano package can support a  mother and her children for one month.

Raffle tickets

Raffle tickets at $100 each offer three ways to win.  The drawing will take place Oct. 25 at about 9 p.m. and you need not be present to win.

First prize is a Louis Vuitton Neonoe Bag valued at $2,030. Second prize is a $250 Visa gift card. Third prize is a $125 Visa Gift Card.
