The employees at All-Fill, the Exton-based manufacturer of packaging machinery that has thrived over the course of three generations of the Edginton family, have always been a close group.

Now, after some CPR/AED and First Aid training, they’re even closer.

All-Fill recently welcomed Chris Biddle — the owner of Biddle Fire Protection, a Coatesville-based service and installation company that combines fire protection with life safety systems and education — to its facility. Biddle provided OSHA-compliant training to All-Fill and Auger Fabrication employees that included an informative classroom presentation plus a hands-on experience that allowed them to practice CPR and chest compressions on mannequins and practice using trainer EpiPens.

“When your business requires CPR/AED and First Aid training, we are fully prepared,” said Biddle. “When you sign up for one of our safety classes, you don’t have to worry about finding the time to drive to our office. We are available to bring the classes to you with the necessary supplies.”

All-Fill employees who completed the training and became certified are now equipped with the knowledge and expertise to save a life, should the opportunity arise in their community.

“We are lucky to have a CEO who is supportive of the efforts of our safety team and fully encouraged the training being made available to employees at every location,” said Karen Goswell. All-Fill’s Safety Lead. “The fact that our company training opportunity resulted in over 25 percent of the staff being certified, when the norm is closer to 10-15 percent, shows the power of positive leadership.”

All-Fill Inc. consists of a 65,000-square-foot headquarters located on Creamery Way in Exton, as well as All-Fill West, an 8,000-square-foot facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Their sister company, Auger Fabrication, occupies a 35,000-square-foot facility on 4102 Edges Mill Road in Downingtown. The company has at least a half dozen AEDs, or automated external defibrillators, throughout its facilities.
