Danielle Brumbley and Nicole Dhruv tied the knot last September at Thornbury Farm, a market and CSA in West Chester, in a beautiful ceremony that perfectly melded rustic, country charm with Indian traditions, writes Kristen Schott for Philadelphia magazine.

Brumbley, a high school teacher, and Dhruv, a data scientist, met on Tinder and within a year, both had proposed to each other. Dhruv’s aunt, Rupa, designed her dresses, as well as nine bridesmaids’ dresses and attire for Dhruv’s male side of the family. She also officiated the wedding.

“I honestly think my aunt should go into the wedding industry,” said Dhruv. “She helped us so much.”

There were many memorable moments at the wedding, but Dhruv’s favorite was watching Brumbley arrive with her baraat.

“I secretly watched as she came in with her parade, dancing while riding a horse,” she said. “Her smile was so big, and it was incredible.”

The décor included many rustic and natural elements, such as hanging baskets of seasonal plants. The menu featured an assortment of Indian fare, as well as an elegant cake with a rainbow interior.

For the couple, the celebration was the “best day of our lives.”
