Visitors have been leaving flaming reviews since the opening of Fire Nashville Hot Chicken in West Chester earlier this month, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News.

Located at 126 East Gay Street, the dream of co-owners and hot chicken lovers Jamie Gaffney and Rocco DiPasquale began when they stopped for a bite to eat in Nashville while on a road trip. They fell in love with the flavors of Nashville chicken, leading the pair to open their own restaurant.

Gaffney, who is also the chef, took a year and a half testing and developing the perfect taste.

“We had a product that could compete against any one in Nashville,” said DiPasquale.

Mostly everything is made from scratch daily. Popular menu items include the FIRE Signature Sandwich, featuring coleslaw, pickles, pimento cheese, hot honey, and comeback sauce. Their desserts include Gaff’s Grandma’s Banana Pudding and empanadas.

Featured on the menu are four of the world’s hottest peppers: Cluck Around and Find Out: Carolina Reaper, Trinidad Scorpion, Seven Pot, and Ghost Pepper.

“I’ve wanted since childhood to own a restaurant. It’s so gratifying to see people eat the food created and be so happy,” said Gaffney. “Everybody seems to be enjoying it.”
