Three Neumann University students join Rick Knowles, Dr. Chris Domes, and Ted van Beuren to announce the university’s partnership with United Sports. The students are Bri Zuspan, field hockey; Jayana Murray, women's lacrosse; and Emily Cooper, women's soccer.

Neumann University has signed an exclusive, three-year partnership with United Sports Training Center in Downingtown. The agreement, announced in a March 2 ribbon cutting, includes marketing and branding opportunities and student internships at the sports complex.

Ted van Beuren, CEO and founder of United Sports, and Rick Knowles, general manager of the facility, joined Neumann’s president, Dr. Chris Domes, at the announcement and unveiling of eight-foot-tall murals that feature Neumann team members in-game action.

Neumann will also amplify its brand through promotional videos on the facility’s TV monitors and website.

United Sports operates a 127,000-square-foot building on Marshallton Thorndale Road and outdoor athletic fields on its 72-acre facility.

It is home to numerous youth sports teams and competitions in soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, softball, volleyball, flag football, basketball, rugby, and pickleball. The facility also hosts various adult team tournaments.

According to Francesca Reed, Neumann’s vice president for enrollment management and marketing, the students using the facility come from every part of the country but primarily the mid-Atlantic area, the university’s strongest recruitment territory.

“This complex brings in thousands of student-athletes every year and will provide Neumann with great exposure along with an opportunity for Neumann students to intern with United Sports,” Reed said.

The university’s admission office is developing college planning seminars that they will hold at United Sports during the next three years. The seminars will be geared toward parents and students who are at the complex for tournaments and have downtime between games.
