The number of medical marijuana dispensaries on the Main Line continues to increase, with the latest addition, Organic Remedies, opening recently in Paoli. Caroline O’Halloran rolled through this business trend in SAVVY Main Line.

Organic Remedies is a 100-percent Pennsylvania operation, unlike some of the other newcomers in the region. The company grows, harvests, and manufactures its product in Carlisle. The Paoli location is its fifth store and its first in eastern Pennsylvania.

The company works to position itself as especially clinical. Its media messaging highlights the brand’s onsite pharmacists, patient-focused care, clinical research, and pharmaceutical-grade laboratory extracts.

Organic Remedies is currently working with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine on a clinical research study on the effects of medical marijuana treatment on quality-of-life improvements.

“We are extremely excited to be working on far-reaching research that we believe will one day change the deeply ingrained stigma around medical marijuana and provide evidence-based data to support medical marijuana therapies as an alternative medicine for patients suffering from serious diseases,” read a company statement.

Other medical marijuana dispensaries in Chester County’s portion of the Main Line include Trulieve in Devon and Terra Vida in Malvern.
