Chaddsford Winery's success results from its products and its connections.

A true oenophile’s haven, Chaddsford Winery offers a wide variety of wines guaranteed to satisfy even the most demanding of palates. Ed Williams barreled through its success factors — including strategic local alliances — for Main Line Today.

The winery has been successfully crafting vintages since 1982, producing more than 30,000 cases of wine annually. Delivering that inventory to market has been a matter of cultivating relationships with as much care as given to its vines.

“Restaurant partnerships are valuable because they serve as both a marketing tool and revenue source,” said Corey Krejcik, Chaddsford Winery’s general manager and vice president. “But these relationships are notoriously tough to maintain. Bar managers, wine buyers, and decision-makers change frequently in the industry and these relationships require constant nurturing and attention.”

Currently, the winery has partnerships with Locust Lane Craft Brewery in Malvern, as well as Montgomery County’s Conshohocken Brewing Company, Flanigan’s Boathouse (also in Conshohocken), and Kiki Vodka Bar in Pottstown.

“Whenever possible, we look to work with local food artisans and make their product available at the winery,” said Krejcik.

For example, the winery uses cheeses from Yellow Springs Farm and Birchrun Hills and sweets from Éclat Chocolate and Gemelli Gelato.
