Chester County Home to Four of the 20 Philadelphia-Area Public Companies That Grew Most During the Pandemic

Four Chester County companies are among the 20 Philadelphia-area public companies that grew the most during the pandemic, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 20 companies with the highest market capitalizations have collectively increased by 58 percent since March 2020 and currently total around $702 billion in value.

Exton-based West Pharmaceutical Services is the Chester County company that grew the most since the coronavirus outbreak. Among the Top 20 region-wide performers, it is No. 6. The company’s current market cap is $30.9 billion, which is a 221 percent increase since March 2020.

Berwyn-based Ametek is close behind in seventh place with its $30.2 billion in market cap, along with a 111 percent change in market cap since March 2020.

Meanwhile, Bentley Systems in Exton checked in at No. 13. The company has a market cap of $18.2 billion.

Finally, Wayne-based Teleflex ranked No. 14 with $17.6 billion in market cap, which represents a 35 percent increase compared to its value at the start of the pandemic.
