West Chester's holiday programming runs from November 26 to January 1.

Instead of lights out, West Chester is going lights up. Under the umbrella of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, 75 sponsored lamp posts will go up all over the borough for the 2021 holidays, part of the Lights Up the Holiday events.

The decorations are courtesy of 44 local business sponsors.

“The chamber is overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for this event and the Greater West Chester community,” says Katie Walker, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, organizer of the program.

Decorations go well beyond the lamp posts. The streets of historic West Chester will be bathed in the glow of thousands of holiday lights every evening from November 26 to January 1.

Each weekend will feature a new set special programming highlighting specific theme: small business, West Chester’s retro holiday look, and first-responder and healthcare heroes.

Visitors can also take in a gingerbread house competition, the annual lighting of the West Chester Christmas tree, and a host of choral performances.
