Among the new culinary options in Chester County is the beef from Wyebrook Farm, which now has online ordering and home delivery.

There are four newcomers on Chester County’s restaurant scene, each catering to a targeted, local niche. Ed Williams sampled the choices for Main Line Today.

Bella Trattoria opened its doors this summer in Spring City. It offers a seasonal, locally procured menu with standouts such as pizzas and pastas. There is also an exceptional vegan white bean ragout.

Meanwhile, Wyebrook Farm in Honey Brook recently reopened as an online market. The much-missed restaurant closed in 2017 due to mounting township requirements. It now specializes in Black Angus beef and Berkshire pork, with no antibiotics or growth hormones.

The former 43-year-old West Bradford Market at Highland Orchards recently reopened as Hidden House Cafe. West Chester’s Leslie Young Klein and Chanean Bianco maintained their menu of favorites — hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, and Burlap and Bean coffee. But they’ve woven in some interesting new items as well: a 13-inch artisan pizza and mugs of hot chocolate and seasonal mulled cider.

Finally, Urban Outfitters opened Pizzeria Vetri this summer in the Devon Yard complex. In addition to its famous pizzas, this eatery also has some great desserts, including its Nutella pizza.
