This year is a big one for Thorndale’s Handi-Crafters. The organization is celebrating 60 years of service to the disabled community in Chester County. It is marking the occasion with a day of family fun at its Thorndale location.

And it’s in need of corporate sponsors to not only help make the anniversary event successful but to provide resources for the employment advocate’s future success.

Handi-Crafters was born from the desire of a handful of Chester County parents to find meaningful employment for their special needs, young adult sons and daughters.

What started as a workshop to teach employment skills blossomed into an outreach that annually connects 400 eager employees with productive jobs.

The fall festival — the organization’s first — is an afternoon of food, games, music, and giveaway swag. It is scheduled for Oct. 10, from 12-3 PM at the Handi-Crafters site at 215 Barley Sheaf Road in Thorndale.

The event includes performances by the Mojo Kings, an 11-piece ensemble well-versed in the dance songs of from the 1970s through the 1990s.

Event-wide sponsorships ($2,500) gains businesses the following:

  • Logo on the event’s website and materials
  • Ad placed in swag bags
  • Tabling spot
  • Onsite signage at various locations around the festival
  • Inclusion on Handi-Crafters’ digital marketing of the event on social media

Other tiered sponsor opportunities will place participating businesses’ logos near the area they are supporting. For example:

  • $2,000: Food Truck Sponsor
  • $1,500: Band Sponsor
  • $1,000: T-shirt Sponsor
  • $500: Fun Sponsor

A $250-level sponsorship reserves a table for the business offering that level of funding.

Handi-Crafters is offering a lucrative perk to local nonprofits: A free table at the event is available if representatives contact Elizabeth Stentzel, Marketing and Development Coordinator, at 610.384.6990 x 216 by Sept. 18.

All other sponsorship opportunities can be arranged through the Handi-Crafters website or by calling Elizabeth Stentzel at her number above.
