The 2021 “Soaring 76” — local companies that the Philadelphia Business Journal reports are booming — includes eight from Chester County, writes Sharon Oliver for the PBJ.

The “best-of” field was compiled from privately owned and publicly traded companies in the region that have recorded the highest two-year percent change in revenue between 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.

To make the list, companies also had to:

• be independently owned, without a parent company
• be a for-profit entity
• generate at least $750,000 in revenue in 2018 and $2 million in 2020
• show sustained revenue growth over that period

Chester County companies that made the list are:

• Evolution Energy Partners (Exton)
• Greencastle Associates Consulting (Malvern)
• Spherix Global Insights (Exton)
• STP Investment Services (West Chester)
• VenatoRx Pharmaceuticals (Malvern)
• West Pharmaceutical Services (Exton)
