Chester County Home to Four of the 30 Best Places to Live on the East Coast, Including No. 1

Chester County is home to four of the 30 Best Places to Live on the East Coast, writes Meagan Drillinger for Stacker.

To compile the list, Stacker used the 2020 data from Niche.com. Among the factors used to determine the rankings were the population and median household income.

The title of Best Place to Live on the East Coast went to Chesterbrook. With a population of 4,714, Chesterbrook has a median home value of $312,800 and a median household income of $119,010.

Chesterbrook abuts Valley Forge National Historical Park and has one of the lowest crime rates in the country.

Berwyn managed to break into the Top 10 in ninth place. The town has 3,268 residents, 94 percent of whom work in white-collar jobs.

Devon is next at No. 25. This affluent community with a high quality of life has 2,008 residents.

The list is rounded out by East Whiteland Township at No. 29. The town with 11,415 residents has a very high education rate.
