Urban areas like Philadelphia tend to be dominated by concrete and asphalt, but there’s nothing that says you can’t turn an interior into a garden oasis, writes Denali Sagner for Philadelphia magazine.

Terrain in Glen Mills made a list of 10 local plant shops and garden centers that can offer hanging plants, overflowing window boxes, and planters to help bring an organic touch to your home’s interior or deck space.

Terrain has two locations, at 914 Baltimore Pike in Glen Mills and at 38 Lancaster Avenue, Suite 110, in Devon.

In the summer, its garden centers have blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry plants, begonias and ferns, hanging Spanish moss, and fresh eucalyptus wreaths.

If you tend to kill living things with your non-green thumb, there’s also a large collection of faux plants, including fig trees, falling vines, and magnolia blossoms.

Terrain also offers an eclectic mix of garden and outdoor décor and furniture, like Himalayan Teak candles, a Willow Garden Obelisk, a floral burst doormat, and a DIY terrarium kit.

A bonus includes restaurants at both locations that offer dishes made from locally grown produce.
