The Child Guidance Resource Centers have been chosen by the Sun East Foundation to be the beneficiaries of its annual Sun East Foundation Golf Classic Sept. 21 in Malvern.

Child Guidance is a nonprofit community-based provider of behavioral health services to children and families across Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Since 2011, the Foundation has supported local charities and nonprofit organizations that assist families in the Brandywine Valley.

Each year, it selects two organizations that make a significant impact on their communities to be beneficiaries of their annual golf fundraising event.

The second organization is SOAR, Survivors of Abuse in Recovery, Inc. , which provides professional mental health services to victims of sexual trauma and their families, regardless of ability to pay.

The tournament is hosted by White Manor Country Club, the premiere private country club in Chester County. White Manor is located at 831 Providence Road in Malvern.

The club is currently ranked No. 3 for “Modern Design” golf courses and No. 14 overall in the state by Golf Week Magazine.

The 170 acres of rolling panoramic grounds were part of a 500 acre tract of land granted by William Penn to the Evans family nearly three centuries ago in 1711.

The tournament provides an opportunity to have a phenomenal golf experience while contributing to the Child Guidance Resource Centers.

The tournament is Tuesday, Sept. 21, starting at 7:30 a.m.
