Bishop Shanahan graduate Dan Neuhaus, a rising senior at West Chester University, is considered a prospect for next year’s NFL Draft and is looking forward to being a leader on and off the field for the Golden Rams in the fall, writes Damond Talbot for NFL Draft Diamonds.

Neuhaus, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end who grew up in Downingtown, is a red-zone threat, having caught 33 passes for 641 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior in 2019.

“Once that ball is in the air, nothing else matters,” he said. “I’m going to be the one coming down with (it).”

Neuhaus fell in love with the sport as a child, when he was just 120 pounds and led the Downingtown Young Whippets to a championship.

What would a team be getting if it decided to draft Neuhaus?

“A talented, highly coachable, and disciplined player that will give 100-percent, max effort until the whistle each and every play,” he said.

After a year off due to the pandemic, the WCU football team will open its 2021 campaign on Sept. 2 at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass.
