Representatives from Frost Development recently presented the public with new plans for the Moran Farm in Oxford Borough. Steven Hoffman covered the future of the property for the Chester County Press.

The council and planning commission organized the meeting. Its goal was to provide residents with a chance to hear first-hand about the intentions for the 95-acre property. The developer also provided time to air concerns and field questions.

The borough first received Frost’s plans for the property in 2003, but several issues caused it to be put on hold.

In December, Frost presented a revised layout of 101 units for 55-and-over residents to the council.

At that time, Anthony McGuire, from proposed builder Ryan Homes, said that “… since it is an age-restricted development, it would have no impact on the school district and would also have lower impact on the traffic, while increasing property tax revenues.”

However, during the public meeting, residents expressed lingering doubt about the traffic claim, voiced environmental concerns, and raised other issues.
